Sažetak
Peptidoglycan monomer(PGM)originating from Brevibacterium divaricatum possess immunomodulating properties. We have shown recently that humoral immune response to ovalbumin (OVA in mice could be potentiated several fold after s.c. administration of PGM mixed with OVA. In this study the T cell response activation was monitored as secretion of IL-4 and IFN gamma from lymph node lymphocytes of immunized mice. The production of these cytokines was upregulated in immunized mice treated with PGM. PGM stimulates both Th1 and Th2 like immune responses.
