Sažetak
Human capital is lately in many discussions recognized as the most valuable asset held by an organization. Measuring human capital and determining factors that influence it is in the focus of interest for many professionals. Due to intangible character of human capital it is very difficult to measure precise value of this type of firm’ s asset. The paper explores regional differences in the value of human capital in Croatia. Model which can help to explain different factors that can have an impact on the value of human capital in Croatia is developed. This model is based on the econometric analysis using investments in education and unemployment rate as the independent variables. Human capital plays an important role in the process of economic growth thus societies engage in further development of human capital.
