Sažetak
Both governments and the private sector have recognised tourism as the main driver of economic prosperity. Some world’ s experiences show that public-private partnership in tourism is a growing trend among governments, local authorities, and industry. Croatia's experiences with public-private partnership in tourism are inconsiderable. This paper reports on the elaboration of the Master plan for tourist destination Kvarner - Croatia, one of the first attempts of public-private partnership in tourism in Croatia. Moreover, the paper examines investments and marketing as two key areas of partnership which offer the possibility for some new partnership in tourism. Therefore, trend towards public-private sector partnership in tourism is likely to intensify in the future.
