Sažetak
Sport and sports achievements have always been a powerul weapon of the political elites in the actualization of their goals on the national, as well as the international level. One of the most effective ways of aweking the sense of belonging to a given nation as an "imagined community" is provided by the sports competitions. In that sense, Croatia is no exception.
