Sažetak
Past and present phases of a research and development project for humanitarian demining detection equipment (HDDE) are described. Among the methods we are trying to develop further for the possible incorporation in the antipersonnel landmine detection (APLD) methods are the thermography and the ultrasound. The preliminary results about the factors influencing the ultrasound application are given in a discussion. The solution of the problem connected with the HDDE testing is presented. The humanitarian demining (HD) oriented activities are intrinsically connected with the activities of EFNDT Working Group for antipersonnel landmines detection. Lines of possible future direction for HDDE development, as seen from the available data, are given.
