Sažetak
In this paper we argue that position-related content published through geospatial content syndication (using GeoRSS , for instance) improves development and perfomance of navigation and location-based services.Benefits of GeoRSS technology utilisation encompasses technological improvements (content of higher quality, more exact search and extraction of position-related content , integration of various technologies and systems enhances general QoS and solution's flexibility ) and advancement in business development ( establishment of various pricing schemes in regard of provided quality of content , considerable savings in content database build and maintenance).Introduction of geospatial content syndication for navigation and location-based services development is illustrated by a simple GeoRSS-based solution for Notices for Mariners distribution , that integrates geospatial content syndication with mobile internet and electronic maps.Further research will concentrate on reliability and robustness of geospatial content syndication , and solutions for near - rela time geospatial content refreshing , making the overall concept aspecially siutable for support of situation awareness.
