Sažetak
Reactions of the metal(II) nitrates (metal(II) = Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Cd and Hg) with potassium thiocyanate and pyridinecarboxamides (pyridine- 2-carboxamide, pyridine-3-carboxamide and pyridine-4-carboxamide), of the metal(II) nitrates with sodium azide and pyridine-2- carboxamide, as well as of the metal(II) nitrates with sodium cyanate and pyridine-2- carboxamide were investigated. The reactions were carried out in water and ethanol. Twenty eight new complexes were isolated. All complexes were characterized by chemical analysis, infrared spectroscopy and thermal analysis. The compounds soluble in DMSO were investigated in solution by 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy. All prepared thiocyanate complexes, cobalt, nickel and zinc azide complexes with pyridine-2-carboxamide, as well as the zinc cyanate complex with pyridine-2- carboxamide were structurally characterized. The structural characterization was achieved by the single crystal X-ray diffraction method. The coordination of pyridinecarboxamide through the nitrogen atom from pyridine ring was found in all prepared complexes. The N, O-chelating coordination was observed in all complexes with pyridine-2-carboxamide, while N, N-chelating coordination just in copper and nickel complexes with pyridine-2-carboxamide prepared hydrothermally if azide or cyanate were present in solution.
