Sažetak
The present invention provides a process for the production of optically enriched oxazolidinones from cyanide and epoxide, by means of kinetic resolution catalysed by halohydrin dehalogenases. Particular good results have been obtaind by using a halohydrin dehalogenase from Agrobacterium radiobacter strain AD1. 5-substituted oxazolidinones were obtained in high yield (47%) and with high enentiopurity (98% ee).
