Sažetak
The ratification of the European Charter of Local Self-Government entails the harmonisation of Croatian legislation with European standards. For political and other reasons, Croatia has lagged behind in the performance of this task. In order to harmonise Croatian legislation and create favourable conditions for the development of local self-government as a significant factor of civilisation, it is necessary to carry out a range of reforms.
