Sažetak
The goal of this pilot study is to make a plan for digitization of a small academic library (Library of Faculty of Philosophy in Osijek), to show some possible advantages and disadvantages of digitization in such library and to offer solutions of potential problems. Another goal is to raise awareness of digital library potentials among librarians and users of the chosen library. A survey among users and librarians will be conducted. The survey is aiming to compare students and librarians attitudes toward making and using a digital library. Based on the results, study aims to enlighten librarians and users on digitization and digital libraries, what they are and what changes they bring. It offers guidelines on how to develop a small digital library and how to conduct a digitization process (from using equipment, software and preparing material to time, people, storage and preservation issues).
