Sažetak
The paper deals with the evaluation of axial fillet stress in the direction of spur involute gear tooth axis. On the basis of 3D FEM stress calculation, axial stress dependency on some gear geometry parameters, and its variation in the tooth fillet area, have been analysed. To underline the differences between 2D approach ignoring the presence of axial stress and 3D approach, the comparison of calculated axial stress with the corresponding tangential stress component, is made.
