Sažetak
Six years old dog with subcutaneous tumor of left front leg was presented at the private veterinary clinic. During the surgery, a thin 4 cm long nematode in the subcutaneous tissue just adjacent to the tumor mass was found. The nematode was confirmed as Dirofilaria repens by PCR. The peripheral blood of the dog was also examined. More than 4000 microfilariae per ml were also found. PCR confirmed that they belong to the same species.
