Sažetak
The paper presents an empirical study and validation of the five supply chain processes of the Global Supply Chain Forum framework. The validated processes are: customer service management, demand management, manufacturing flow management, order fulfilment and returns management. Validation results are based on empirical findings from three in-depth case studies of dyadic relationships. Our case studies encompassed an entire automotive supply chain, from the raw material supplier to the aftermarket. Seven findings are presented here that may have implications both for practice and research. The former may benefit from the recognition that the five processes are robust enough to map a supply chain and also from the simple and straightforward way of visualizing the interdependencies among supply chain processes, both internal and external. The biggest implication for research is in the richness of these findings that may only be provided by cross-organizational studies similar to the one presented here.
