Sažetak
This work presents consistent and comprehensive methodological approach for identifying the scope of strategically relevant parameters with model for evaluation of the strategic waste management concepts. The proposed methodology for identification of the parameters relevant to the decision making process in strategic waste management is presented on the case study of Croatian coastal region. Decision makers in the area of environmental management usually receive several different information streams without any guidance on their integration and evaluation. The proposed methodology for this particular case could provide a decision support tool that could be helpful to the decision-maker, act intermediary between experts and decision-makers, ease a negotiation process between stakeholders and provide a platform for information sharing. This way, public could be actively involved in the decision-making process, what would increase the probability of successful implementation of the selected alternative.
