Sažetak
In this work, the nitrogen ligand bpa (bispicolylamine) was conjugated to the oligopeptide nls (nuclear localization signal, PKKKRKV) by solid phase peptide synthesis, yielding bioconjugate 2. The binding of 2 and Cu(II) was studied by UV/VIS and MS and compared with the isolated well-defined simple bpa complex 1Cu. The results indicate similar structural features of 1Cu and the in situ prepared metal bioconjugate 2Cu. At present our efforts are focused on the evaluation of nuclease activity of bioconjugate 2Cu.
