Sažetak
Production system design is a series of methods aimed at defining a production system capable of achieving the required economic, manufacturing, and social criteria. It is very complex activity with many significant influental factors, so due to their number and complex interaction rationally possible only by computer, i.e. requires the development of appropriate software. Paper contains the description of use and the basis elements of IPSD (Interactive Production System Designer) software package which enables users/designers to complete a significant number of production system design activities by computer. The IPSD software is an Intranet application based on modern information system design concepts such as: client-server technology, uses of relational databases and open architecture.
