Sažetak
GPS RTK method has never achieved millimetre vertical accuracy. For the most common geodetic tasks such as surveying, staking out and monitoring, GPS RTK method in many cases has been limited by its measuring accuracy. Before the appearance of the new Topcon Lazer ZoneTM technology, we were able to achieve centimetre vertical accuracy (from 1 to 3 centimetre) using GPS RTK systems. Combining Topcon Lazer ZoneTM technology and Topcon GPS RTK HiPer Pro system accuracy of height determination can be increased to a millimetre level. Comparison of the above mentioned system and the conventional methods of the height determination will be presented in this paper. Elevation will be measured by geometric levelling method, trigonometric levelling method and GPS RTK method. This paper will try to examine whether it is possible to achieve millimetre vertical accuracy declared by manufacturer. Then the Topcon Lazer ZoneTM technology will be compared with the conventional methods. Finally, advantages, possible disadvantages, and accuracy of Topcon Lazer ZoneTM system will be shown in this paper.
