Sažetak
This paper investigates the use of the hybrid format in two different undergraduate courses in teacher education using action research methods. The content of the first course included an overview of historic and modern issues in the area of lifelong education. The content of the second course included an overview of the formative ideas and theoretical concepts of online education. There were three specific areas of interest for this research. First, the student expectations from the hybrid-teaching format were investigated. Second, the correlation between information- communications technology use and attitudes towards use of an online instructional platform were examined. Third, the type and quality of asynchronous discussion board posting were evaluated and compared between the two courses with respect to the differences in course content. According to the case study findings, there were a number of similarities on how students perceived the two hybrid courses as well as differences based on the course content and previous students’ experiences.
