Sažetak
Long-standing unsolved issues of maritime borders call for analysis of the reasons which have led to such situation. Perceiving delimitation with the neighbouring countries as a complex problem, yet leaving aside a deeper analysis of historical, technical and legal reasons, this paper is confined to an analysis of general procedures in the negotiations on maritime borders. One of the major reasons for the present situation might be in the assumption that these procedures in negotiations have not been adequately recognised or applied. The authors took an interest in these issues, though not essentially related to their field of activity, participating in the Third ABLOS Biennial International Conference held in Monaco, 28-30 October 2003.
