Sažetak
Small and Medium Enterprises are very important part of both developed and less developed national economies. SME – s are, according to theory, the main source of innovations, creativity and new jobs. Existing national, regional and international institution's financial support models through governmental support, subsidies or tax reliefs are mostly inadequate and deficit. This paper analyzes the market model of securitization of SME's receivables and all the advantages of such financing tool. Since this sector is seen as flywheel of development of national economies worldwide, it is important that Croatia also diverts support to development of this sector. Whereas this segment of national economy in Croatia still mostly depends on its internal resources or funds from credit institutions and unsignificant state support, it is essential that Croatia implement market oriented financing models and create regulatory or other necessary conditions.
