Sažetak
Besides the feldspalt and aluminiumoxide ceramics, the important place in fixed prosthodontics takes glass-ceramics due their chemical inertness, combined with high mechanical strength and appropriate thermal and physical properties. Glass-ceramics are polycristallin solids which can be produced by controled crystalization and they consist of one or more glass phases and one or more crystallin phases. The procces of controlled crystallization has been utilized in creating of IPS Empress ceramic.
