Sažetak
In the last decade, there were many examples of tremendous competitiveness improvements based on implementation of different Information and Knowledge Management models. Unfortunately, there was at least equal number of expensive and time-consuming examples of Information and Knowledge Management models implementation which did not result in explicit benefits. The reasons were different: organization did not perform objective analysis of knowledge it has, organization is not able to define which knowledge is critical for its future and what makes it different than its competitors, chosen Information/Knowledge Management model does not fit corporate strategy, culture or IT landscape. What makes company successful? What determines company value? Intellectual capital, brand, client relations, company potential and efficient knowledge management are becoming more and more important every day. The most successful organizations are innovative one, those that have knowledge that others do not, those that succeed in sharing knowledge through employees’ network and efficiently implement that knowledge. The purpose of this paper is to develop a framework for successful implementation of most frequently used Information and Knowledge Management models, to stress out critical success factors for their implementation as well as illustrating typical issues that are raised during their implementation of different models and pointing out most common pitfalls that are made.
