Sažetak
The question of the relationship between the Baltic and Slavic languages, together with potential postulations about the Balto-Slavic linguistic community, is one of the pivotal issues not only for Baltic and Slavic studies, but also for Indo-European studies in general. Different perceptions of the extent to which the Baltic and Slavic languages are related are today undoubtedly partially caused by an unsynchronized system of terminology and varying approaches to this complex issue.
