Sažetak
The aim of this paper is to compare the numerical values of stresses in "hot spots", obtained by a FEM approach, with experimental results (determined in the testing laboratory of shipyard "Split", Brodosplit-Testing), in order to find out the proper element size. These stresses are used for further fatigue strength estimation of a ship structural detail, which is here represented by T-shaped welded joint specimen made of AlMg4.5Mn.
