Sažetak
Croatian tourism product has not yet achieved an appropriate market position. A sustainable development strategy has still to be formulated. Neglet is especially present in cultural heritage and cities as real development potentials for tourism. The cultural heritage which is very much present in Croatian cities especially coastal, was included in tourism only as an excursion element offered to tourist on holiday. Events can be developed in Croatian cities along the coast and in the hinterland. Cultural heritage and events are still prepared in accordance with production concept principles. Market techniques are still not applied. For culture and many events, this has not, however, prevented them for becoming well known and attractive, and for large number of tourists, not hindered the realisation and their viability.
