There is no doubt that the whole area of first language acquisition will continuosly attract researchers` attention and that language development will maintain its status as an important topic not only for both linguists and psychologists, but also for experts such as speec/language pathologists, biologists, and cognitive scientists. The establishment of a new society that emphasizes the need to acquire more that one language, and preferably three, will actually put more emphasis on language research and attempt to understand the phenomenon more adequately.
