Sažetak
Excess mortality for 1976-1996 time period in Zagreb region, due to air pollution level using TSP as an indicator was calculated. Results should be taken with care, since the coefficients used were not determined using Zagreb data. For more precise calculations these coefficients should be developed. By using the mortality proportions in population or by number of deaths, yearly averages of TSP concentrations could be used, thus enabling satisfactory results and omitting time-consuming calculation of daily values. Results could be used for health care cost-benefit calculations.
