Sažetak
Turopolje pig breed autochthonous Croatian breed is in state of renewal and protection in situ from years 1996, and in 2005, the size of breeding population was 129 sows and 14 boars. By FAO standards about DAD that breed is in critical state of endangered and disappearing. The aim of this paper was investigated the litter size, weights and mortality of piglets from 1. to 42. day of life at Turopolje breed (T) and crossbreds TCSL in the outdoor system of production. The sows of Turopolje breed (T, n=6) and CSL (n=3) were mated with one boar, Tmb3 and farrowed in early of spring. The piglets of T breed (n=34) and TCSL (n=26) were individually weighing on 1., 7., 14., 21., 28., 35. and 42 of life day. The litter size at sows T and CSL were significantly different (p<0.05) in total (6.33 and 10, 00) and live (5, 67 and 8.70) born number/litter. The estimated averages weights of piglets (total of both sex) were not statistical significantly different by analysed periods of life. Statisticaly significant differences (p<0.05) were estimated within sexes at male T and TCSL on 42. (4.80 and 4.22kg) and female on 35.(3.61 and 4.52kg) and on 42. (4.11 and 4.84kg) of life day. In T breed significantly differences (p<0.05) were between male and female at 28. (3.86 and 3.37kg) 35. (4.20 and 3.61kg) and 42. (4.80 and 4.11) day of life.
