Sažetak
A large number of acyclic nucleoside analogues have been synthesized due to their potential activities as antiviral agents. In this connection and related to our previous studies on modified nucleoside analogues, we have prepared novel purine and pyrimidine nucleoside analogues containing 2, 3-epoxypropyl (I and II) and 3-amino-2-hydroxypropyl (III and IV) side chains. The site of alkylation of the purine ring was determined by 1H and 13C NMR spectra on the basis of chemical shifts, coupling constants and connectivities in NOESY and heteronuclear correlation spectra.
