Sažetak
Simple coagulation and sedimentation mechanisms are considered in relation to the sea particle size distribution (PSD). It is shown that the values of  -parameters in the two componnent model of PSD can be associated with coagulation and sedimentation mechanisms. Moreover, it is shown that the low  A-values can be asociated with high turbulent kinetic energy dissipation rate characteristic of surface and coastal waters. High  A-values, characteristic of deep waters, indicate domination of differential sedimentation over shear coagulation. An insight into the size ordering of mechanisms and the extent of size sub-range in which they dominate can be inferred from generalized power exponent m(r) which is  -parameter dependant.
