Sažetak
Learning languages and meeting different cultures in our own environment cultures of the environment from the early childhood improves cognitive and formative phenomena (competencies, attitudes, awareness, specific living strategies). Public education gives us a great opportunity to improve tolerance, coexistence, peace and openness among the people. Schools are a primary site for the transmission of cultural knowledge and development attitudes towards one’ s own and other groups, as well as towards civil society and public life in general. The aim of this paper is to present a good case of practice regarding integration of Roma and Muslim pupils in primary school in Rijeka (Croatia).
