Sažetak
Thermal polymerization of diphenyldiacetylene and alkyl- and ester derivatives of octadehydrodibenzo[12]annulenes (1) and dodecadehydrotribenzo[18]annulenes (2) at atmospheric pressure was investigated by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and two-dimensional infrared (2D IR) correlation spectroscopy. Temperature induced spectral changes from 25 to 250°C were monitored in the whole region 3200?400 cm-1. The spectral region 2300-2000 cm-1 of the triple bond stretching was thoroughly analyzed because it contains most critical information on the behaviour of diacetylenic bridges. The observed temperature robustness of the annulenic cores in 1 and 2 most probably is due to the bulky substituents which thus inhibit intermolecular polymerization. Since the vibrational assignment of 1 and 2 has already been performed (1) relevant features in temperature dependent FTIR spectra of these systems could have been more easily investigated.
