Sažetak
In this 20 Alpine and 20 Saanen goats were used and their milk production were monitore trough five consecutive lactations. Parity had significantly (P<0, 05) effects on length of lactation, milk and fat yield, and fat content in milk of Alpine and Saanen goats. The lowest average milk (359 l) and fat (12, 23 kg) production were noticed during the lactation i, while the highest production (588 l milk and 21, 6 kg fat) was in lactation III. Through all five lactations, Saanen goats produced significantly (P<0, 05) more milk than Alpine (509 l vs 458 l). Corresponding total fat yields per lactation were 17, 85 kg and 16, 48 kg, for Saanen and Alpine goats, respectively (P<0, 05). Saanen goats shows slightly longer lactation than Alpine goats.
