Sažetak
This paper presents the outcomes of an intercultural cooperative seminar held at the University of Education Heidelberg, Germany, and the Teacher Training College in Cakovec, Croatia, in the winter term 2003. The seminar on teacher training was delivered as a blended learning scenario with a weekly face-to-face-seminar and online discussions supported by the use of the web-based platform BSCW. German was chosen as language of instruction. Besides the discussion of the two different educational systems, the different curricula for teacher training, the new professional specialisation as “ Teacher for Europe” (Europalehrer) and its chances the seminar focused on the reflection on one`s own media literacy with regard to the actual and future requirements of the teaching profession. The use of BSCW and some internet services was not only one of the topics discussed but also the medium of communication and collaboration and therefore a vital element of the instructional design of the seminar.
