Sažetak
The paper presents the research work on aerodynamic parameters of a fluidized bed for model particles in laboratory conditions. General conditions of a fluidized bed, such as the bed height, preassure drop, air velocity in relation to the dimensions and the composition of particles, geometry of columns and the presence or absence of the extended surface of an immersed heat exchanger were obtained. Four model particles were used: (1) particle mass: 0.3, 0.4 and 0.5 kg ; (2) particle material: (a) glass ball (diameter 3 and 5 x 10-3 m) ; (b) poly(vinyl-chloride), PVC cylinder ; (c) styrene cylinder. Two columns of different shapes and dimensions were used: (a) a cylindrical column, and (b) a square column with the same dimensions of separation grate on the bottom of columns and with or without extended surface of an immersed heat exchanger element. The measurements revealed the influence of the geometry of the extended surface of an immersed heat exchanger element, different model particles, and different geometry of columns on aerodynamic properties of a fluidized bed.
