Sažetak
The goal of this reserach was to show various functions of management in health tourism in Croatia. In this paper management is treated form the point of view of the tourist health organisations which render medical, catering, hotel, sports-recreational and other services. The basic functions of management in tourism are: organisin, decision making, planning, managing and controlling. In order to make it possible for a tourist health bussines organization to function optimally it is necessary to work out all the functions according to various fields of activity. Namely, each activity has its special ways of wotk organization, various physical resources, experts, etc. so that it requires managers specialized in particular activities. Optimal functioning of a complex touist health organization requires the achievement of the optimal quality of all kinds of services. These goals can be successfully achievedat two levels: separately within aech activity and at the level of the whole tourist health organization. The presented functions of management are based on experience in the field of health tourism in Croatia.
