Sažetak
Environmental factors such as air temperature, relative humidity and air draft are the most common causes of increase in pathology, disease and disturbance in swine production. Therefore the elimination of stressfull enviromental conditions is important in the swine industry.changes in diet and environmental temperature( Amstrong, W.D. et al.1977) changes in diet and infection with rotavirusn (Leece, J.G.et al. 1983) and administration of a starter diet before weaning( Miler, B.G. et al.1984) have increased the incidence and duration of diarrhoea due to K8+ Escherichia coli in older pigs. Over a two years we have monitored monthly ambiental factors(air temeprature, relative humidity and air speed) using SOLOMAT 2000 (SOLOMAT 2000, Evry France) in farrowing, and rearing pens of a large swine farm in Croatia. In the same period we performed daily clinical observation and necropsied dead pigs. The cause of death was classified by the pathomorphological findings in the SNOVET terminology systeme. Losses due to GIS(gastrointestinal syndrome) and P (pneumonia) followed for two years and correlated with data obtained fot rhe three ambient factor mentioned above. The swine farm "Dubravica" produced about 25 0000 fattening swines, per year.During one year of production on swine farm "Dubravica" losses were 11, 2% sucklking pigs and 5.4% weaned piglets. In conclusion - the preliminary data our assumption that certain factors of boclimate influenced among suckling and weaned pigs due to GIS or P.Recorded values for air speed had significant (P<0.05) influence on losses among weaned pigs to GIS.Synergistic effect of air speed and relative humidity (P<0.05 and <0.05, respectively) influenced losses among suckling and weaned pigs due to GIS.Relative humidity had a high(P<impact and weaned pigs due to P.Over two years relative humidity and air speed were shown to be highly(P<0.05<0.01, respectively) associated with incidence of GIS in weaned pigs.As a result our investigation over three years the management of the farm began a complete reconstruction of the facilities for weaned pigs bacause very highly losses in this phase of production had stopped the continuous production on this farm.
