Sažetak
As part of the project “ A Social Map of the County of Primorje and Gorski Kotar” developed by Teaching Institute for Public Health of the County of Primorje and Gorski Kotar and in association with the county of Primorje and Gorski Kotar, a questionnaire-based empirical sociological survey was conducted on a non-random and convenient sample to identify the attitudes of representatives of social groups on various quality-of-life dimensions: dissatisfaction/satisfaction with the functioning of institutions and infrastructure, the perceived need to improve institutions and infrastructure, the perceived quality of life of vulnerable groups (the young and the elderly), and the perceived need of developing various measures to improve the quality of life of these social groups. Numerous questions focused on satisfaction with everyday life of respondents. Altogether, more than 1200 respondents were surveyed in all of the 35 local government units in the region. The analysis was carried out on sub-regional levels (Gorski Kotar, Littoral, and Islands), and it includes descriptive statistics, analyses of variance, chi-square and regression analyses.
