Sažetak
This paper presents usage of the Finite Element Technique (FET) when modelling the impact of the underground copper wire break position on the potential rise of the substation grounding grid due to a single-phase-to-ground short circuit current. The paper also examines the impact of the of copper wire break position on the current reduction factor. The aim of this paper is to show how the finite element technique can be successfully applied in the circuit/network analysis in practical engineering problem.
