Sažetak
The aim of our research was to establish the influence of the season to the somatic cell count in the bulk tank cow milk. The milk was collected daily during the period of two years. When the milk was brought to the dairy in special tanks and before pouring, bulk tank milk samples were taken and marked as « ; the tour» ; . The milk samples were taken in three tours from the tanks every seven days. During each year, we have processed 144 tours, totally 288 tours. Determining the somatic cell count in the bulk tank milk during the first year of the research, we have established that during the winter the somatic cell count was significantly higher in comparison to the other seasons (P<0.05). However, during the second year of the research, we have established that during the summer period, the somatic cell count was significantly higher (P<0.05) in comparison to the other seasons. Based on the results of our research, we have concluded that the season has no influence to the somatic cell count in the bulk tank milk, since during the first year we have established significantly higher somatic cell count (P<0.05) in the winter period, and during the second year of the research it was in the summer (P<0.05), in comparison to the other seasons
