Sažetak
The frequently applied procedure to remove mercury from process streams utilizes adsorption on a fixed bed consisting of sulfur impregnated activated carbon. This paper deals with results of two-year experience in practical field application, showing efficiency of activated carbon in removal of mercury from natural gas streams. The purpose of undertaken research was to define the correlation between adsorbent's properties and efficiency for this particular application. The final step would then be design, production and utilization of an adsorbent with optimal propreties.
