This chapter explores the complex managerial and marketing challenges facing all relevant stakeholders relating to religious and pilgrimage sites, while also addressing a combination of sacred and secular motivations for visitation. Practical issues of site management are explored to determine how existing holy places are able to combine different social functions successfully.
