Sažetak
In this paper the material loss of steel charge by scaling during heating in the rotary-hearth furnace is analyzed. Scale formation and fuel consumption for various charge formats and temperature regimes before the production of seamless tubes are considered. The analysis was conducted numerically according to analysis scheme and to data acquired through measurements.
