Sažetak
Video cases offer preservice teachers the opportunity to observe a variety of classroom situations, more so than traditional teaching. In addition to the increase in class observations, doors of discussion are opened. Having the objective to determine the preservice teachers’ perception of teaching and learning using the Best Practices database, the preservice teachers were asked to answer reflective questions on the viewed video cases. Their reflections were coded ; their observations mainly focused on the benefits and/or obstacles to the students’ learning, appropriateness of the observed teaching practice, and skillfulness of the observed teachers. The ideas and comments that arose could facilitate understanding of the preservice teachers’ knowledge and thinking, and help determine their future educational needs in terms of video case development and use.
