Sažetak
This article is about light pollution in the visible spectrum Our modern industrialized society is more and more exposured to artificial lighting at home, offices, laboratories, hospitals, night clubs and in many other places. This type of lighting has become an incresing social and medical problem mostly connected with various health isues. Unnatural lighting can disrupt ecosystems, and our biological rhythms in the body with adverse health effects, it can also obscure astronomical observations in the cities , and be waste of energy. In this paper we focus on the connection between night light and breast cancer and show the spetra of various light sources in common use in solaries, homes and industries with an emphasies on the UV and blue light components of the spectra and suppression of the production of a hormone melatonin.
