Sažetak
Lead-acid batteries dominate marine energy-storage, althougt they have some widely recognised weaknesses of perfomance and reliability. This paper present an overview of alternative technologies and thier advantages to the marine engineer. Some technologies are identifield as particulary suitable for specific duites, from the range of new requirements emerging from the development of ship platform concepts.
