Sažetak
The effect of BPC 157, a novel pentadecapeptide, on chronic gastric ulcers and cysteamine duodenal ulcers rats were investigated. Ranitidine was given as reference agent. Intragstrical application of both BPC 157 and ranitidine markedly accelerated healing of gastric ulcers. Both of them also had a beneficial effect on rats' intact stomachs. A highly cytoprotective capacity, common for BPC 157 and ranitidine, could be clearly suggested.
