Sažetak
Standard is a thing or quality or specification by which something may be tested or measured. The development of standards is organized on a global, international level, existing also on a national level, well harmonized with an international one. International developers are organizations working on this matter, like the International Standards Organization (ISO) or the European Committee for Standardisation (Comité Européen de Normalisation— CEN). Standards in health and medical informatics enable access to patient health records to read or to add some new data relevant to other healthcare providers taking care of a patient. Bad medical informatics can lead to patient deaths, and standardization in the field can prevent this from happening.
