Sažetak
Following contemporary scientific insights and being in touch with new achievements in technological progress, in the verbotonal method the cochlear implant covers a specific area of work and research. In SUVAG Polyclinic, Zagreb, persons with cochlear implants have been treated according to a rich scientific-research activity and with an enormous experience in the rehabilitation of hearing and speech according to the verbotonal method and theory, which is the key to the interpretation of every communication. In this work research results are going to be presented, which were directed towards the improvement of the usefulness of the cochlear implant and new technologies in the rehabilitation of persons with hearing impairment , the purpose and aim of which is further development of diagnostic and rehabilitation programmes for persons with cochlear implants.
