Sažetak
At the end of 1993 in our Department, we started with videoendoscopic placement of peritoneal Tenckhoff catheters. Our technique is somewhat different from the technique used in the prreviously published articles. Themain difference involves a specially constructed trocar, which we use in the catheter placement. The trocar consists of two parts. The outside portion is metal cannula with a narrow part that is introduced intra-abdominally, and a wider portion that penetrates only into the abdominal wall, but not through the peritoneum. The cannula can be separated longitudinally in two symmetric halves. The iinner part is the trocar itself with the sharp tip.
